NORTHERN WRESTLERS' REUNION

Sunday 6th June 2010

The annual Northern Reunion of British Professional Wrestlers was held at the Labour Club in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, on Sunday 6th June 2010.

Bob and Jean Bell's annual Wrestlers' Reunion took place on this early summer weekend, as has become traditional over the last ten years or so. The attendance seemed slightly higher this year, with wrestlers and their families arriving from far and wide, all keen to renew old acquaintances. Buddy Ward put in plenty of hard work helping Bob and Jean with organisational duties and carrying out the role of MC, and Monty Swan (all the way from northern Scotland these days) and friends did their usual great job in ensuring everyone was very well fed.

Sadly, it was announced that Bob and Jean have now decided to 'call it a day', after many years of hard work which have been eagerly anticipated and enjoyed by so many 'good old boys'. This will therefore be the last reunion here in its current format, unless someone else is willing to step forward and take over, no doubt with plenty of advice and support from Bob, Jean, Buddy and Monty.
