Rob Roy McGregor, believed to be a former Scottish champion.
Reader John White remembers seeing him many times in Ron Taylor's booth at the 'Town Moor Hoppings', Newcastle upon Tyne, in the 1960's.
He always arrived dressed in his kilt.
