In September and October of 1970, The Wrestler magazine ran a couple of articles by Russell Plummer, looking at the rules of professional wrestling, and the men whose job it was to administer them. In May of the same year, two of Russell's featured referees (Joe D'Orazio and Tony Mancelli) were pictured in a Royal Albert Hall programme for officiating at all of that venue's wrestling tournaments during the 1969-70 season.
